"90% of what you worry about never happens" - Jean Barlow

"90% of what you worry about never happens" - Jean Barlow

This quote comes form an old friend of mine who used to always quote it when people would come to her with problems they were experiencing or bouts of anxiety they dealt with.

Now, I cannot empirically prove that number to be factual but in life I have discovered and experienced the 'truth' in that statement.

Many times, the majority of things we worry about never happen or materialize.

However, for ALL of us, some of the things we worry about do happen. So what do we do in that case?

    3 Things:

    1. Don't ignore your problems.  Problems rarely go away by themselves, and they generally get worse with time.  (Yes, go get that physical you have been putting off, go reach out to that friend that you had a falling out with)
    2. Acknowledge your problems and come up with some ways you might solve them, and then start working on them.  Hello self-empowerment!
    3. Recognize that you will always have problems of some sort, and you should always be working on them.

Remember, don't ignore problems, but don't worry needlessly over them, work on them and you will feel better, and help eliminate the problem.

Have a great day and week!
